made it through my first week!

found out today that i get to chaperone at prom! reasons to celebrate. blouse = forever twenty-one. skinny jeans aka jeggings = target. bow ring = h&m. also, something i’d really like to point out about this tumblr is it is not only about how to look cute as a teacher, but also how to look cute on a teacher’s salary. let’s be honest, though our jobs are rewarding beyond any capitalist means, we don’t make very much money and usually can’t afford expensive clothing. i’m not ashamed that the majority of my wardrobe is from forever twenty-one and i’d like to show how you can find nice items at these stores.

hi everybody! so, this is what i look like normally. however, i have just begun my student teaching at a public high school. i have four amazing senior world literature classes and i am thrilled to be working with them. but. i don’t know what to wear. this is going to be everyday for the rest of my life (and i can’t wait, honestly!) so i’d better figure this out. defense: i know there are so many much more important issues in public education that what a genderqueer punk-ass student teacher wants to wear to class. one thing at a time though. anyways, this is a blog to show off my school outfits, for you to submit yr school outfits, and for all of us to help teach each other how to do this whole professional life thing, one day at a time.
